Now Open for Our Fifteenth Season in Phoenicia, NY! (Weekends only…for now).

Tuesday, April 26th, 2016

Starting this weekend (April 30/May 1) The Mystery Spot is open for the season! And it’s not just any season – it’s our fifteenth!

For now, we’ll be open weekends only until school lets out; after that, we’ll be open five days a week, all summer long.

Our “official” opening is Memorial Day Weekend, but if you’re one of our followers who reads these things, consider these next few weekends our “sneak previews” for those in the know.

We’ve been hoarding vintage nuts and acorns all winter-long, and we have SO MUCH  to bring in….stacks of vinyl records, racks of vintage clothing, antiques, books (including lots of local history, i.e. Delaware County, one county over), Catskills ephemera, mid-century kitchenware, Rusticalia, oddities, vintage costume jewelry, and even Prada shoes (huh?).

Spring Hours:

Saturday 11am – 6pm

Sunday 11am – 5pm

Expect lots of surprises for Year 15!

Huzzah! Catch us the weekend of April 9 – 10 for a vintage/vinyl quickie in Phoenicia!

We've been gathering vintage nuts all winter!

We’ve been gathering vintage nuts all winter!

We’re chomping at the bit to officially open for the season, which will be sometime in May. But in the meantime…..

CATCH US THIS WEEKEND! Sat. April 9th & Sun. April 10th! We will actually be open (!) for a vintage quickie until we “officially” open later this spring.

Is it because the Woodstock Writers’ Festival is also that weekend? Hmmm….could be! In fact, they’re raffling off an original photo that we – i.e. your proprietress Laura Levine – took of David Bowie  (there may be a few raffle tickets left). Raffle tickets sold out! But you can always contact us if you don’t win the raffle and you’d like to purchase a print directly.

We’ve been gathering lots of fresh Catskills estate finds (many of you have seen them posted on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) and bringing them in bit by bit. Vintage hippie clothing, vinyl records, antique bottles, old paintings, cool and obscure Delaware County local history books, vintage and antique….um…stuff. Just the tip of the iceberg, but you’ll get first crack at them if you head over to Phoenicia and pop in next weekend.

Then we’re going to hibernate a little more until our official opening April 30th! (Weekends only for the time being).

Did we mention that this will be our FIFTEENTH SEASON in Phoenicia!?

—> Extra Incentive: The Ice Cream Station next door to us on the porch will also be open!
